CANDON CITY COAST GUARDS CONDUCT MANGROVE PLANTING
CANDON CITY, ILOCOS SUR - Personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station Candon in partnership with IQ Learning Center, PCGA 702nd Squadron, PNP-Candon, BFP-Candon, BJMP-Candon, CDRRMC, Bantay Dagat-Candon, Brgy. Officials and Candon Auxiliary Riders jointly conducted a mangrove planting activity with 500 propagules planted in connection with the upcoming 121st Philippine Coast Guard Founding Anniversary held at Darapidap, Candon City, Ilocos Sur on September 24, 2022.

This activity aims to promote a greener, healthier environment and to expand the awareness of the youth to preserve nature and wildlife for the next generation.
On the Facebook of the Coast Guard Sub-station Candon, they quote that "Children are our future, so it's good to teach them early on the importance of protecting and nurturing our mother nature. Kudos to these children who came and their parents in cooperation with our partners in other agencies for their compassion and collaboration with us"
